2024 Scholarship for Graduating High School Senior

To be eligible for the $1,000 MVCCT scholarship, the applicants:

-   Must be a senior in high school.

-   Must have participated in an MVCCT production or camp.

-   Will attend a college, university or other institution of higher learning.

Submission due date:

-   All scholarship application submission information must be time-stamped via email by April 30, 2024 at 11:59pm to admin@mvcct.org and this online form completed.

How To Apply:

1 - Complete this online registration form.

2 - Choose a creative way to answer the question and email your submission to admin@mvcct.org:  

“How has your experience with MVCCT helped to build self-confidence and character while developing self-expression, independence and responsibility?”

You have full creative license on how you would like to share this information.  We love to see creativity in all of its forms.  We recognize that humans express themselves in varied ways.   Choose to share your information in a manner that lets you shine.  

For example, you can submit an essay of 350 words or less.  It can be a video with a length of 1 minute 30 seconds to 3 minutes long.  You could create a work of art that signifies how you would answer the question above. Or, you might submit a video of a song you compose or a dance you choreograph.  If you choose to submit a piece of art that does not include written or spoken word, we ask that you include a short artist's statement explaining your submission and include it in your email.  An artist's statement should tell the viewer what they need to know about you and your artwork in a simple and concise way.

All scholarship submissions must be emailed to admin@mvcct.org.  If submitting a video, please make sure it is no larger than 10MB in size digitally and we are able to easily view it on any phone or computer.  You may also upload a video to a private online hosting page such as youtube.  In this case, please email the link to your video to admin@mvcct.org.

Judging Criteria:

-  Both online form and email submission must be received before the April 30, 2024 at 11:59pm deadline. 

-   Judges will evaluate without bias.

-   The judges will weigh content and creativity more heavily than other technical aspects, such as grammar.  

Scholarship Recognition:

-   The recipient will be featured on the MVCCT website, in an email and on social media.  Additionally, the winner and their family will be invited to a short ceremony during the summer at the conclusion of a camp session.  

The winner of the scholarship will be notified via email or cell phone call no later than May 30.
